GL-TURBO Started Running at La Porte WWTP in Texas
6/29/2016 - Houston - After 6 nights effort since June 13, GL-TURBO blower started operation last night at La Porte WWTP in Texas. Within days GL-TURBO will conduct personal training before the blower is put into full operation.
This is the first project of GL-TURBO single-stage high-speed centrifugal blower in the USA. It is always difficult to start. This is no exception. First of all, the company could not send technician onsite to supervise the startup. Everything had to be done remotely. Secondly there was the time difference. It's exact 12 hour difference between Houston and Wuxi. The startup had to be handled at night in Wuxi. The biggest problem was technical. The motor starter at the site was very old fashioned. It did not have the modern interfaces that GL-TURBO LCP counts on. It took GL-TURBO technicians many hours to pinpoint the problem and work out a solution that ensured smooth startup of the blower.
"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all GL-TURBO employees involved in this project. We've overcome great difficulty to start up the blower and make it work. Our technical expertise and professionalism have won respect from not only our American colleagues but also our customers. This is a great start for our expansion into the US market." says Mr. James Jin, CEO of GL-TURBO.
